Frequently Asked Questions

Shipping & Returns
How do I return something? +

Email us at hello@mightytiga.com within 30 days of receiving your order.

  1. Write your order number clearly on the outside of the parcel.
  2. Include a note with your name, email, and order number inside the package.
  3. Use a tracked service to send it back to us.

Return shipping is at your cost. Once we receive the item and confirm it's in original condition, we’ll refund the product price (excluding original shipping) back to your original payment method. Refunds are processed within 7–10 business days of receiving the item.

How long do I have to return something? +

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to request a return.

Do you offer exchanges? +

Not at the moment.
If you need a different size or colour, simply return your item for a refund and place a new order. It helps us process things faster and keeps stock flowing smoothly.

What if my item is faulty? +

We’re really sorry that happened.

Please email hello@mightytiga.com within 14 days of delivery and include:

  • Your order number
  • A short description of the issue
  • Three clear photos of the fault

If approved, we’ll send you a pre-paid return label. You can then choose between a refund or a replacement.

Can I return something that’s been used? +

We can only accept returns for items in brand-new condition — no signs of wear, washing, or use.

Can I return sale items? +

Yes — unless the item was clearly marked “final sale” on the product page.

Can I cancel my order? +

If your order hasn’t shipped yet, get in touch with us as soon as possible at hello@mightytiga.com.

Once it’s out the door, we can’t cancel — but you’re welcome to return it once it arrives.

Gear & Sizing
What size collar should I get? +

Here’s how to measure:

  1. Use a soft measuring tape (or string and a ruler).
  2. Wrap it where the collar naturally sits.
  3. Slide two fingers under the tape — it should feel snug, not tight.

Want to see how our 1.5-inch collar will look? Cut a paper strip to that width and wrap it gently around your dog’s neck — it’s a great way to check if the size feels right visually and physically.

Why do you use equestrian rope? +

Because strength shouldn’t come at the cost of comfort.

Our equestrian rope is:

  • Double-braided for durability
  • UV-resistant and colourfast — it holds up in all conditions
  • Washable and soft in hand
  • Safe for animals and made to last

It’s trusted in the equestrian world for a reason — and now it's trusted by Mighty Tiga dogs too.

Can I request a custom leash length? +

Absolutely. If you need something tailored to you or your dog’s walking style, email hello@mightytiga.com and we’ll see what’s possible.

Is the hands-free leash okay for dogs that pull? +

If your dog’s still learning to walk on a loose lead, we recommend starting with the handheld setup.

The leash itself is strong — but using it around your waist or body is best for
dogs who’ve already got some leash manners.

You can still use the hands-free mode in calm environments while training — it frees your hands for treats, clickers, or anything else you need to stay relaxed and in control.

Are your products suitable for all dog sizes? +

Mighty Tiga gear is designed for medium to large dogs — especially those with strength, reactivity, or a bit of unpredictability.

Our 9cm locking carabiner is durable and secure, but it may be bulky for smaller breeds. If you’re unsure, feel free to reach out and we’ll help guide your choice.

How should I care for Mighty Tiga gear? +

Hand wash with mild soap and cold water. Let it air dry and it’ll be ready for your next walk.

About Mighty Tiga
Are all Mighty Tiga products handmade? +

Our rope-based leashes and long lines are handmade in Australia using premium equestrian rope from Victoria.
Our other items, like the tactical collar and regular leash, are produced in small batches to maintain consistent quality.
Every item is tested, packed, and shipped with care.

What does “Mighty Tiga” mean? +

Mighty Tiga was born from lived experience.

Our founder’s dog, Tiga, is reactive — and walking him wasn’t just difficult,
it was emotionally exhausting. That’s why we built gear that’s strong, reliable, and designed for real-world challenges.

We understand what it feels like to be on edge during walks, to avoid certain routes, or to feel judged.

We’re here to make walks safer, calmer, and more enjoyable — and to remind you that you’re not alone.
