Heading to the beach? Be sure to thoroughly rinse the leash and carabiner with fresh water after each visit to remove any salt and sand. This is especially important for the carabiner, as salt residue can cause corrosion over time and affect its performance.

Allow everything to air dry completely before storing, and you're good to go.
